One of the greatest rewards of choosing to dive in Maratua is the richness of marine life. The surrounding waters are home to an impressive variety of species, from large pelagics to delicate reef inhabitants.
Divers regularly encounter reef sharks cruising through channels,
schools of barracuda moving in unison, and graceful manta rays gliding past cleaning stations. Green and hawksbill turtles are common sights, often resting among coral gardens or swimming calmly alongside divers. The reefs themselves are alive with color—hard corals, soft corals, sponges, and macro life create a vibrant underwater landscape ideal for photography and exploration.
