One of the most challenging dive sites in Maratua, The Channel is known for its strong currents. Divers often use a hook to stay in place to watch a spectacular show of marine life, including grey reef sharks, giant groupers, and schools of barracuda and jackfish. This site is best visited when the tide is rising, which offers the most dynamic viewing of feeding activities.

Just a short distance from the resort, Cabbage Coral offers an easier dive experience with mild currents. Here, divers can explore a vast area of undamaged cabbage corals spread over an area as large as a football field. The depth varies, and as you move further out, you might encounter turtles and occasionally, mantas and eagle rays.
